Description of The Lodge
A stylish split level cottage nestling in a private lane close to the village centre.
In the heart of Croyde you will find The Lodge, a character cottage of unique split level design nestling between its neighbours at the end of a private lane, just off the main thoroughfare in this popular village. The stylish and comfortable sitting / dining room which features oak beams has a fireplace with wood burning stove to ensure cosy evenings all year round and patio doors opening onto the tiered and paved terrace gardens. A separate well equipped modern kitchen and a convenient cloakroom are also on this level. A few steps up from the entrance hallway lead to the two twin bedrooms, with a few more steps up to the double bedroom, which has a sloping ceiling in parts and catches a glimpse of the dunes and sea beyond. A separate family bathroom serves these rooms. Outside, a path and gate provide roadside access into the village directly opposite the path which leads down to the beach. With a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep you can forget your car once you arrive, browse in the village, enjoy the beach or take an invigorating walk on the coastal path.
Accommodation: Ground floor: Hall. Few steps down to living/dining room with wood burning stove, TV with Freeview, DVD, stereo and ipod dock. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Cloakroom with WC and basin. Off entrance hallway there are a few steps up to Bedroom 1 with Twin. Bedroom 2 with Twin. Bedroom 3 with Super King. Bathroom with bath, WC, basin and shower cubicle.
Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Electric panel heaters. Complimentary logs provided. Wi-Fi Broadband. Garden furniture. No smoking. Regret no pets. No cot is provided, please bring your own travel cot. Private parking. Short breaks available. 3pm arrival time. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
